It’s been three years since my initiatory sickness started. I feel ready to begin playing like this, with magic, with all of you, once again.
AS YOU PROBABLY KNOW, on Friday July 27 we are headed for a big ole eclipse along the Leo/Aquarius meridian, calling into question our relationship with sovereignty and the limitations we carry.
Under this eclipsing full moon, I want to perform a Crucible of Courage spell.
REAL QUICK ASTRO-BABBLE:
Leo, Sun-ruled, is obviously represented by the royal Lion. Aquarius, Saturn/Uranus-ruled, is represented by a person carrying a container of water.
So, during a time of tension in which we are caught between the energy of sovereignty and the energy of containment/transcendence, called to upgrade our relationships with these energies and ourselves, we could each use some courage.

For this Crucible of Courage spell:
I’ll be setting up a circle of carved and dressed candles around a central master candle — on an altar of David-Bowie-blessed integrity.
The candles will be set atop natal chart petition papers*, so you’ll need to provide your birth info – date, place, and time if you have it – to participate in this spell.
*your natal chart, printed out, inscribed with intention, and dressed with magical powder and/or oil.
Under the Leo/Aquarius lunar eclipse on July 27, with the aid of some helping spirits, I’ll set these lights and pull cards, watch for signs, and record my observations.
The next day, I’ll mail out packets of the candle’s remains for you to dispose of. I’ll include any messages that came through for you during ritual.
You’ll also get, via email, instructions on how to dispose of the candle’s remains as well as suggestion for something you can do each day to keep yourself grounded in the power and integrity of intention.
